FxSound Settings Basics

Hey guys! This is Austin Sweet. I'm the lead audio engineer at FxSound, and I'm going to do a quick walkthrough of the settings in FxSound. This should help you get started if you've just downloaded.

When you expand the FxSound window, you get access to a lot more settings and features.

The first thing I'll highlight is the playback device selection. Your PC feeds signal into FxSound, which then feeds that signal to whatever output you select here. If you're ever not hearing your audio, make sure to check that you've got the right playback device selected in FxSound.

Click on the hamburger icon to get to the rest of the settings.

In the General section of the settings, you can see all the keyboard shortcuts and disable them if needed. You can also reset your presets back to their original settings.

And in the Help section, you can find your version number, navigate to the changelog, check on any updates, and also send us feedback or help requests.

One last thing... you can actually manage the settings for most of what you'll need without ever opening the FxSound app. Either by the keyboard shortcuts, or by right clicking the FxSound icon in the task tray.

If you have any questions or need some help, don't hesitate to reach out!
